So how was it? Started viewing pics but interwebs fail
Freaking amazing man, so much took place so I have to write a bit of an essay to cover it all, but in short we were greeted by the most generous and honest people I've ever met, taken care of and catered for, attended the most amazing event at a rediculously amazing track, and in short found such a massive difference to Australia, the cars are so different to Aust in engine swaps and the standard of power level they think is needed lol, wise fab everywhere, turbo V8's and 2J's in everything, looks aren't a big focus, definitely function over form in a lot of ways but all in all very impressive cars and drivers. The other impressive side of it was the party side of Gatebil, they have such a massive amount of trust and respect both ways between authority's and attendees, everyone walks around drinking all day and all night, I gained a quick liking to Copperberg 500ml cans of 7% ciders!! And no one batts an eyelid, but no one misbehaves (much) either, I think there might have been one fight I heard about which is impressive as there was 7! Camp sites! 7! We stayed in the 2nd smallest one closest to the track which I think had maybe 100 RV's in it alone!! and we were told the biggest camp site is 2km away from the track and people just go there just to party!! Some people don't even realise there's a car event at all.
